Cobalt59 works with government and public agencies, whose own digital standards require accessible suppliers. This site is built to meet them.

Standard

This site targets WCAG 2.2 Level AA. That is the level referenced by the Australian Government Digital Service Standard and by most state procurement requirements.

What that means here

• Every page has one h1 and a logical heading order.
• A skip link jumps straight to the main content.
• Every interactive element has a visible focus indicator.
• Images carry alt text; decorative images are hidden from screen readers rather than described twice.
• Every image declares its intrinsic size, so the page does not shift as it loads.
• Motion is disabled for anyone whose system requests reduced motion.
• Content is readable and usable at 400% zoom, and reflows to a single column.
• Navigation, headings and landmarks are marked up so assistive technology can move through them.
• The site works entirely without JavaScript.

Known limitations

Three case study images are low resolution because no better original exists; they are decorative and carry no information. Capability statements are formatted for A4 print, and their layout is not optimised for screen reading — the same content is available on the case study pages.
